Be Careful What You Post On YouTube

YouTubePosting your vacation or birthday party footage on the popular video sharing site is one thing, but you may want to resist the temptation to add your favorite Twisted Sister song as a soundtrack.

The non-profit Electronic Frontier Foundation has filed suit against Universal asking a court to protect the “fair use and free speech rights” of a mother who posted a short video of her toddler dancing to a Prince’s “Lets Go Crazy”. Last month, YouTube informed the mother that it had removed the video after Universal claimed that the recording infringed on a copyright owned by the company.

The video has since been reposted so you can check out what got Mom into such hot water here.
