  • Concert giant Live Nation grabbed Madonna from Warner Brother’s Records for recording, touring and more. Price tag: $130 million.
  • Rumors have Facebook launching a download store or ramping up to compete with MySpace’s music content. iLike, AmieSt, Nimbit and others are already using Facebook’s open platform for free music applications that help you add music to your personal Facebook page.
  • MySpace and Google are following Facebook’s lead and opening their platforms. Stay tuned and we’ll tell you about new apps as they become available.
