OK this article isn’t exactly “digital” but sure does fit our theme of saving you money on music… Do you want to go to more concerts, but just don’t have the cash? Or do you just like saving money wherever you can? You could try to be the 57th callers on some bogus radio station contest or your could try these strategies that actually work:

1. Offer To Help - Go to the band or venue’s web site and see if they have a street team. Many bands will trade you a pair of seats (or even back stage passes) in exchange for putting up flyers,. Call the venue and see if they need ushers, ticket takers or stage hands. If all else fails hang out around back in the afternoon and see of they need help loading and unloading the band’s trucks.
2. Get Online – Post on on fan web sites and local message boards like Craig’s list and tell the world what you’re looking for. Maybe you can offer a ride to someone who has a two tickets bot no wheels. Or maybe there’s a disabled person that needs help or someone who just wants a concert buddy. Sometimes adding a little bit of cash will help.
3. Get Out Your Pencil - Offer to write for your any of your local papers. Tell them upfront that you don’t want cash; just free ticketes . They’ll want to see writing samples so have some ready.
