• AudioLunchbox - Try this one only if you have lots of time. Over 2 million licensed and DRM free song downloads. Many from unknown indie acts.
• Epitonic – Explore new music and create playlists with some free downloads
• Hypster – Allows you to upload your music, create a playlist and share it with others, even on social networking sites. Let people see & hear the bands they may be missing out on.
• iLike – Share your playlists and get suggestions for new music from others. Works well with Facebook.
• imeem – Discover new music and share what you like with others.
• Last.fm- Customized online stations to fit your taste.
• Owlmusicsearch- Have the site open an MP3 file, it compares it to other songs and then gives you a recommendation for other tunes you might enjoy.
• Pandora- Type in the name of an artist and Pandora will create a net radio station featuring that artist and similar acts. Fine tune it with other acts and thumbs up and down on individual songs
• PureVolume – Explore genres of music for bands you’ve never heard of and listen to full length tracks for free.
• ReverbNation – Community of music lovers and online tools for indie artists.
• Stage.FM – Enter a major name act you enjoy and receive a list of independent acts with a similar sound.
