5 More Indie Bands You Need To Know About With A Christmas Twist

Lucky SoulLips Are Unhappy, Lonely This Christmas  In an effort to bring do-it-yourself culture to the indie charts this Christmas, Lucky Soul are in a bid to make it to number one on at least the UK Christmas Charts this year. Their single ‘Lips Are Unhappy,’ is backed with their cover of festive favourite ‘Lonely This Christmas

Kotki Dwa -  This single demonstrates quite well what Kotki Dwa are about, whilst not really giving too much away either. The A-side, Robin’s Clogs, shows off their more upbeat side – a 4 minute pop frolic with some beautifully dreamy electronics that sound delightfully cheap. Imagine a bottle of Lucozade poured over a stack of MIDI keyboards and you’re just about there. It has a lovely breakdown towards the end too, with a refrain of ‘étoile-étoile-étoile-étoile-étoile-cœur’ (star x 5 + heart).

JaQon Music - Remembering   JaQon’s single, ‘Remembering,’ is a tearful track with bending synths and a choral refrain that uses its southern drawl so well that it will take you back to the good ol’ south (even though he is in New Jersey).  In the song, JaQon guides you through his past where he confesses that prayers and his family were what provided the most strength. This week, check out a JaQon’s sincere single, ‘Remembering.’

Jae PYou Don’t Even Know My Name  Unsigned and hungry, Jae-P is a talented artist/producer from Glasgow with enough hearty beats that he should be signed and full.  Also check out ‘Wonderful Dream.’  It is a dreamy song with jazzy production (the only way to make a song speak).

Klaus Says Buy The Record & Jose VandersWinter Wear   One day, to UK musicians ‘Klaus Says Buy The Record’ and  Jose Vanders met at a recording studio in the middle of Kent to help spread the Christmas joy this year by joining forces and recording a single for the festive season. Jose snuck out of the house to record it. Klaus nearly missed his bus to the studio. After a few hours of penning lyrics about Santa and Christmas dinner and recording some Jingly bells, they came up with, ‘Winter Wear’.
