A quick update on free add supported download service Qtrax:
Despite a flashy launch and a nice player download, you still can’t download a single free track from the service and I hear from people that should know that it will be days if not weeks before that changes.

A quick search on Amazon today found thousands of DRM free mp3’s from Sony BMG artists ranging from Bob Dylan to The Foo Fighters to George Winston. Some acts only had full album downloads available with a “Comin Soon” on individual mp3 tracks.

UPDATE 2: Qtrax Launch Delayed. Questions Surface.

UPDATE 2:

Qtrax is now live (if you can get on with the heavy traffic) but without any of the promised downloads while they scramble to finish deals with the major labels.
