Last.FM Adds Free Single Song Streams
You may know Last.FM as a site where you can build your own personal net music stream. Like Pandora, you start with an artist you like and the station starts playin. Over time by adding artists and praising or rejecting songs you build a stream of music that fits your tastes.
Yesterday Last.FM added on demand song streaming with music from all four major labels and 150,000 indie labels and artists The catch: you can listen to a track free up to three times, after which you are pointed iTunes, Amazon or 7Digital to buy it (or not).
If you’re already a fan of Pandora or other similar services, 3 time song streams is probably not enough to get you to switch to Last.FM. (After all you can listen to almost any song for free already using Seeqpod) But if you’re new to the personalized net station world, Last.FM may now be the best place to start.
