UPDATE 2: Qtrax Launch Delayed. Questions Surface.

UPDATE 2:

  • Qtrax is now live (if you can get on with the heavy traffic) but without any of the promised downloads while they scramble to finish deals with the major labels.
  • The interface is well done but pointless without downloads.
  • Some are questioning if the splashy launch which included Don Henley and James Blunt was just a Qtrax penny stock manipulation scheme

The Qtrack download software that was promised at midnight EST Sunday did not launch as promised. But the company promises it will launch soon.

Any launch will be happen under a dark cloud. All four of the world’s big label groups (Universal, EMI, Sony BMG and Warners) say that despite what Qtrax announced on Sunday, they don’t have deals with Qtrax. Several admit to being close to making deals.

Qtrax says thay’ll risk a lawsuit and launch with the product anyway. Stay tuned and we’ll tell you when.

What is Qtrax? Read more about Qtrax and the 25-30 million tracks its promising to deliver free here.
