The Last Major Label Drops DRM

Hypebot is reporting that Sony BMG (who owns Epic, Columbia, Sony, RCA, Jive, and other labels) is about to become the last major group to drop DRM.

This means that w thin weeks 95% of all the music you might want will be available as mp3’s that can be played on any brand of player (iPod, Zune, Creative, etc) and copied to CD.

For now at least the best place to buy DRM free tracks remains Amazon.com who seems to consistently get tracks faster and sell it cheaper than anywhere else.
