The Black Crowes are releasing “Warpaint” their first new album in 7 years on March 4th and heading out on tour. To get their fans juiced up they’re blitzing the net with new content on their pages on Myspace, Facebook, video on YouTube, a new single “Goodbye Daughters Of The Revolution,” a widget plus a “countdown to release date” ticker on their web site.

Gimado joins the growing list of search engines that help you find, listen to and download free mp3’s. Just type in a band or song name and you’ll be given plenty of choices to download. I suggest listening first before you download to make sure you have the right version of the song.
Is it legal? Maybe yes, maybe no. But a venture capitalist thought enough of Gimado to invest $300,000 yesterday. Try it here.

Apple has dropped the price of its its 1G iPod shuffle to $49 and is introducing a new 2GB model of the iPod shuffle for $69. The  iPod shuffle is just half a cubic inch in volume, weighs only one half an ounce, features an aluminum design with a built-in clip and comes in five colors—silver, blue, green, purple and a new red special edition.  The price drop is effective immediately and the 2G model will become available later this month.

We’re not commenting on the legality of Russian site Tagoo, and we’re sure the record labels are already calling their lawyers. Officially is an mp3 search engine, but its real purpose is clear.
