Watch Out For Exploding iPod Nanos
The video is a simulation and just for fun, but according to Engadget, the Japanese government is investigating if iPod Nanos have a tendancy to explode and ctach on fire.
Beware particualry if you have model MA099J/A (the old black and white plastic model) has already been reported to spit chest high flames cause fires, and explode. The Japan incident apparently occurred in January when a nano “shot out sparks while recharging.” The experts are putting the blame on the player’s lithium ion battery. Stay tuned…

Qtrax Adds Free White Stripes, Radiohead, Fall, The Cult, Pixies & More
Starting today free ad supported music service Qtrax will add P2P downloads from the Beggars Group of record labels to its small but growing catalog. So far no major labels have made deals with Qtrax and TVT is the only other large indie to sign up to the somewhat controversial service.
Some of the past and present Beggars Group artists you’ll be able to grab free include Radiohead, The White Stripes, The Charlatans , The Fall, Basement Jaxx, Jarvis Cocker, TV On The Radio, Cocteau Twins, The Cult, Gary Numan, Pixies, The Prodigy and dozens more.
Beatles Coming To iTunes Soon…Finally
A series of lawsuits that were settled within the last few months and Paul McCartney’s divorce settlement which is said to be about 10 days away from being finalized are paving the way for The Beatles catalog to finally become available via iTunes and other download stores according to the British press.
The expected download release date is within the next couple of months. Of couse we’ve heard these rumors before, but this time the stars appear to be aligning. It will be interesting to see which of the Beatles’ classics tops the download charts and for how long.
