It may just play MP3 music files, but the SanDisk Sansa Clip 2GB MP3 Player is a great entry level player. The player has a small internal rechargeable lithium battery for convenience. 2GB should be plenty for the average user and the sound quality is great.

Small enough to fit in the palm of your hand the Creative Zen V Plus 2GB Portable Media Player is a great economical alternative to the iPod Nano. The Zen V can play MP3 music and MP4 video files with up to 2GB of storage. This may not be enough to store too many video files so don’t be disappointed. The small lightweight body is truly impressive though. The screen is scratch resistant and the Black & Green casing is something out of the future.
