Ever Wish You Had Your Own Radio Station?
Have you ever been so sick of the crap they play on the radio that you wished you had your own station? Do you have a few friends who feel the same way?
There are some very affordable ways like via Live365 to do it on the internet. (We’ll write more about that soon.) But from October 12-19 the government is offering a rare opportunity to apply for full power (100 to 100,000 watts) non-profit community stations. The window will only last seven days and you can only file your application during this period; so everything needs to be prepared in advance. If you don’t apply now, it could be many years before another licensing window opens and there probably won’t be much full power radio spectrum of value available after this issuing period.
These licenses will only be available to qualified community groups and nonprofits in certain geographical areas. Its surprisingly easily find out if there is a frequency available near you and how to apply thanks to GetRadio.org.
Then a few months from now write and tell us where to tune in and listen to you on the radio!
