Net Kills 3 Music Magazines. Fader Goes Online.
With ad dollars and attention shifting to the web, three more great music magazines have announced they will cease publication:
R.I.P.
- HARP

- NO DEPRESSION
- RESONANCE
And music magazine FADER is adding online March 26th with the newest online quarterly edition of its F2 series. Available as a free download on iTunes and at TheFADER.com, F2 is a music-driven digital publication that takes musical genres like folk, blues and classic rock and finds contemporary artists who represent today’s version of classic bands and genres. Each F2 supplement will focus on one genre and five of the emerging artists who serve as the genre’s modern day emissaries. The first in the series will be “The New Disco”.

These mags are good ones and I hate to see them go. I still enjoy picking it up and taking it on the plane with me…leaving it for someone else to find. The viral side of passing the mag around is gone…oh well…so be it I guess. I only need ONE a month…
