]]> For me the song is everything. I love a ripping guitar solo as much as the next person. But give me some intelligent and heartfelt lyrics inside a well constructed song and I don’t care if the singer sings well or the musicians play past the third grade level. Here are two great songs that are fighting for #1 on my mp3 player right now.

Triple M – Maybe I How about some music from an expatriate of Arista records? Singer Mark Vormawah has a passionate voice that seats itself perfectly with Mike Moran’s mellow production. This is delightful oceanic music that is calming and pleasing to explore, with a stylish guitar riff throughout the ballad that tickles me.

DJ FELIX – LOVE U SO I got my French disco shoes on this week! DJ Felix’s Love U So is a classic disco track with all of the random samples and noises that might sound creepy elsewhere but fit perfectly in this genre. Electronica baby, electronica. In this track, the eighties synths meet consistent bass, an unidentifiable sequence of sounds, and then a sweet voice saying, ‘Disco, I love you so’. Get some.
