There are literally millions of blogs out there with hundreds of thousands focused on music. Here at OurDigitalMusic.com, I like to spotlight a few music blogs that are actually worth your time and energy. TheOneLove.org deserves your attention on many levels.

First, the site is both by and for people that love music. All kinds of music. (Though hipster indie bands get the most play.) Second it features the voices of about a dozen bloggers - not just one fool ranting into a darkness lit only their computer screen. Third, 100% of the revenue generated from ads goes to charity. Fourth they actually tell you the charity they are supporting.

Here’s TheOneLove.org in their own words:

...Our mission is to help bring a little light to as many people as we can by building our own community of dedicated artists, writers, producers and fans who can come together with their combined passion and love of music and change the lives of others. Each blogger has chosen one charity to support. 100% of all profits collected from traffic to their blog page, from banner ads, will be donated to their charity of choice. Each charity was chosen for a specific reason by each blogger. Perhaps they will share their story and passion for their charity in their blogs. Perhaps, in the future, you can share yours too.”

Lofty goals perhaps. But if you can’t dream a little, what’s the point?
